How to use it
- Choose one or more JPG, PNG or WebP photos.
- Choose a maximum size. Keep the original resolution, or explicitly allow resizing if needed.
- Compress, check both previews and actual byte sizes, then download individually or as a ZIP.
Before you start
JPG/WebP compression can reduce visual quality. PNG does not use lossy quality adjustment. Up to 20 files, 20MB per file, 50MB per batch; 24 megapixels and 8,192px per edge. Animated inputs are rejected. Metadata may be removed when re-encoding. Very small limits may not be achievable.
Common questions
Will my image be exactly 200KB?
The goal is 200,000 bytes or less, not exactly 200KB. A result is marked ready only when its actual byte size is within your limit. If the limit cannot be met, the file shows a failure instead of a download.
How are quality and dimensions adjusted?
JPG/WebP quality is searched from 95% down to 35% at the original dimensions first. Resizing needs your permission, uses at most eight smaller sizes, and keeps the shorter edge at least 320px (or its original size if smaller). Each file is limited to 32 encoding attempts and 45 seconds between operations. PNG uses dimension changes only.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Compression and ZIP creation happen in your browser. Your files, filenames and image content are not sent to analytics or an image-processing service. Save your results before leaving this page.
Reduce a photo to meet an upload limit
For a form, application or attachment that accepts photos under 2MB, choose your image and enter 2 in the MB target field. For a 200KB limit, choose KB instead. Review the actual output bytes and preview before downloading.
Does a target size guarantee unchanged quality?
The target is a maximum, not an exact size. Smaller files may require lower quality or smaller dimensions, and some settings cannot meet the target. You decide whether resizing is allowed. Processing stays in your browser; no account is needed.
