Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how GadgetPickLab (“we,” “us,” or “the site”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit gadgetpicklab.com, contact us, or follow a link to a third-party website.

Information we collect

Information you provide. If you contact us, we may receive your name, email address, message, and any other information you choose to include. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or other sensitive information.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting, analytics, caching, and security services may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location, timestamps, and diagnostic or security events. This information helps the site load, measure traffic, prevent abuse, and identify technical problems.

Cookies and similar technologies

GadgetPickLab and its service providers may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for essential site functions, security, performance, analytics, and affiliate attribution. You can remove or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect site functionality or prevent an affiliate purchase from being attributed to us.

Analytics

We use Google services connected through Site Kit, including traffic and search-performance reporting. These services may process device, usage, cookie, and network information according to Google’s policies. We use the resulting reports to understand which pages are useful, find errors, and improve navigation and performance. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Affiliate links and third-party websites

Some articles contain affiliate links, including links to AliExpress. When you follow an affiliate link, the destination site or affiliate network may receive the link’s tracking parameters and may use cookies or similar technology to attribute a visit or purchase. GadgetPickLab may then receive aggregated transaction information and a commission. We do not receive your full payment-card details from the merchant.

Third-party websites control their own content, security, cookies, and data practices. Their privacy policies apply after you leave GadgetPickLab. Product images or other externally hosted content may also cause your browser to connect to a third-party server.

How we use information

  • Operate, secure, cache, and troubleshoot the site.
  • Understand traffic, search visibility, and content performance.
  • Respond to questions, correction requests, and other messages.
  • Detect fraud, spam, attacks, and violations of law or site security.
  • Maintain records needed for legal, accounting, and affiliate-program obligations.

Legal bases where applicable

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the site; your consent where required for non-essential cookies or similar technologies; performance of a request you make; and compliance with legal obligations.

How information is shared

We may share information with service providers that support hosting, analytics, caching, security, website administration, and affiliate attribution. We may also disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or complete a business transfer. We do not sell personal information for money.

Data retention and security

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including security, troubleshooting, legal, and accounting needs. Retention periods can differ by provider and data type. We use administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can also manage cookies in your browser and use privacy controls offered by Google or other third parties.

To make a privacy request, use our Contact page. We may need to verify the request and may retain information when required by law, security, fraud prevention, or legitimate recordkeeping needs. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children’s privacy

GadgetPickLab is a general-audience shopping and setup publication and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

International processing

Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, providers use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site, providers, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest revision.
