Number selected PDF pages with your choice of position and starting value.

Runs in your browser · No sign-up

How to use it

  1. Choose a PDF and select the pages to number.
  2. Set the starting number, label style, position, alignment and size.
  3. Create and download the numbered PDF.

Before you start

One PDF, up to 50 MB and 250 pages. Numbers follow your selection order. Existing page numbers remain in the document; this tool adds a new label.

Common questions

Can numbering start after the cover?

Yes. Select pages starting at the first page you want to number, such as 2-10, and keep Start at set to 1. The cover remains unchanged.

Will labels work on rotated or cropped pages?

Labels are positioned relative to the page’s visible area and displayed orientation. Very small pages use a reduced label size to help the number fit. Review the result after downloading.

Are protected files, signatures and forms supported?

Password-protected files are rejected. Page-copying tools may not preserve digital signatures, interactive forms, document bookmarks or links to excluded pages. Preview and check your downloaded file.
